Dr. David A. Kennett, President of Mount Saint Mary College and an accomplished economist, will present “Tough Talk on Taxes” on Tuesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. at the college.
The talk, free and open to the public, will take place in the Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, room 218, in the Dominican Center at the Mount, 330 Powell Ave., Newburgh. All are welcome.
A focal point of the Trump administration’s agenda is cutting taxes, and President Trump has promised “the biggest ever in our country tax cut.” Dr. Kennett will address, with comparative data, how such a policy conforms with America’s tax burden and structure. He will also discuss the likely effects of the cuts of corporate and income taxes if they become law.
