Participating in this track also prepares students for the CPA exam, as you’ll be trained in the fundamentals of accounting and business that fulfill the academic requirements for CPA licensing in New York.
As with students pursuing the traditional Accounting major, 5-year Accounting BS / MBA students at the Mount benefit by learning from seasoned accountants-turned-professors, enjoy small class sizes, and have the same opportunities for real world experience through internships and the TaxAide program.

Completing a bachelor's and master's degree in just five years takes hard work, dedication, and careful planning, but you can do it! Throughout the process, your advisor will work with you closely to make sure you are completing all of the requirements for graduation.
Years 1-3: Undergrad courses
Year 4: Finish undergrad courses, begin grad courses, and graduate with bachelor’s degree
Year 5: Complete grad courses and graduate with master’s degree
Following graduation, students in the 5-year Accounting BS / MBA program are ready to sit for the CPA exam and then enter into the field as successful professionals. Coupled with the business experience of an MBA, graduates from this program also have the skills to move into management, consulting, or leadership positions.
