Community Education

You can gain valuable skills, expand your mind, and perhaps find a new interest or vocation. The Desmond Campus offers noncredit courses in the day, evening, and in Saturday sessions at the college’s beautiful Desmond Campus in Balmville.

Our Spring 2019 catalog is now available!

Registration for Spring classes will begin on February 12 at 10 am and registration for Day Trips will begin on February 18 at 10 am. In the meantime, browse our catalog or register for one of our Winter 2018-2019 classes!

The center aims to maintain a balance between the practical and cultural aspects of learning. In addition to our noncredit courses and day trips, we also offer courses designed for adults age 55 and older called Learning is Forever Enriching (L.I.F.E.).

The L.I.F.E. program offers day trips and opportunities to explore the Hudson Valley and New York City with a focus on the arts, history, architecture, literature, music, the Hudson River, and many other topics. We encourage and welcome suggestions for new courses, programs, and seminars.

For more information about our noncredit courses, call us at 845-565-2076 or email

FacebookFor course changes or cancellations due to weather, call our Snow Line at 845-569-3500.

We hope you'll join us!
