We know how hard you’ve worked to get to this point, and we want to reward you for your efforts. That’s why the Mount gives out more than $20 million in scholarships and grants each year. In fact, 100% of our students end up receiving scholarships and grants from the college each year, because we recognize how important it is to make a small, private education affordable.

Types of Scholarships:

*All students are considered for these scholarships at the time of application unless otherwise noted. Scholarships designated as “renewable” mean that the student will be awarded the scholarship annually for up to four years, provided they remain in good academic standing and still qualify for the scholarship based on residency, program participation, etc. Students in a 5-year program can carry their scholarship to the 5th year.

Major & Activities Scholarships

Specialty scholarships for specific majors and interests

Leadership Scholarship

Are you an incoming student who has been a leader in your high school or community? The Mount recognizes that our students are future leaders who are going to change the world, and we like to help spark that leadership in them. That’s why we award a limited number of renewable $2,500 Leadership Scholarships to exceptional first-year students. Students are not automatically considered; you must apply online by March 13. Access the application here (please do not apply before being accepted to the Mount).

Why Teach? Education Scholarship

Every teacher has a unique reason that they were motivated to join the field, and we want to hear yours! Each year, we award a $1,000 renewable scholarship to select first-year Education students. Students are not automatically considered; you must apply online by April 15. Access the application here (please do not apply before being accepted to the Mount).

Donor Scholarships

Several friends of the Mount have created scholarships in memory of loved ones or to help students in certain programs or with financial needs. You do not have to separately apply for these scholarships; your Admissions application and FAFSA are used to determine eligibility based upon criteria set by the donor. Most of these scholarships are one-time scholarships and non-renewable.

Needs-Based Grants

We award a number of grants based on financial need to first-year students each year. The level of assistance offered depends on the amount of financial need and the availability of funds, which is why we encourage students to file the FAFSA as soon as possible. These grants can be renewable depending upon continued financial need based on each year’s FAFSA and maintenance of good academic standing.

We love recognizing the achievements of students who have already succeeded at another college and wish to continue their education at the Mount.
