Pamela Bass of Thomas, Drohan, Waxman, Petigrow & Mayle, LLP., presents “Show Me the Money: Name, Image, and Likeness.” 

The Mid-Hudson School Study Council hosted its 67th Annual School Law Conference at Mount Saint Mary College on Friday, August 5. 

MHSSC, an educational non-profit organization, provides members with several educational and informational workshops each year. It is affiliated with the New York State Council for the Social Studies (NYSCSS).

Presentations included:

  • “Show Me the Money: Name, Image, and Likeness” by Neelanjan Choudhury, Esq. and Pamela Bass of Thomas, Drohan, Waxman, Petigrow & Mayle, LLP.
  • “Emerging from COVID-19: Changes in School District Governance and Operations” by David Shaw of Shaw, Perelson, May & Lambert, LLP.
  • “Employing School District Professional Personnel: Developments Since the Education Transformation Act of 2015” by Julie Shaw and Steve Latino of Shaw, Perelson, May & Lambert, LLP.
  • “Not Just in Boston: Requests to Remove Books from School Libraries & from the Curriculum” by Steve Banks and Conor Horan of Thomas, Drohan, Waxman, Petigrow & Mayle, LLP.
  • “A Legal Update: New Laws, Regulations, and Judicial Decisions Affecting Public Education” by Jay Worona, deputy executive director and general counsel for the New York State School Boards Association.
