Mount Saint Mary College was recently recognized by College Factual as one of the best schools in the United States for nontraditional students.
The Mount was ranked 296 out of 2,186 on College Factual's most recent list in this category, putting it in the top 15 percent for this ranking. In addition, College Factual ranked the Mount 17th in New York State for nontraditional students.
The rankings were determined using objective data emphasizing educational quality, affordability, and support for students considered nontraditional. At the Mount, these include transfer and degree completion students.
About a quarter of all Mount students are transfers.
Located 60 miles north of New York City, the Mount is ranked a Top-Tier Regional University by U.S. News & World Report, and offers bachelor's degree programs preparing students for careers in healthcare, business, education, social services, communication/media and more. Master's degree programs include options in nursing, business, and education.
For transfer students and those looking to complete their degree at the college, the Mount offers accelerated and weekend/evening classes for many of its majors, both undergraduate and graduate. These students can also start or complete a bachelor's or master's degree at the Mount.
