STUDENT AFFAIRS GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP
This student affairs graduate assistant position will have
primary responsibility in the areas of new student summer

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FACULTY
Mount Saint Mary College is seeking two full-time tenure track
faculty positions in Information Technology.
Position 1 - Web Technologies: Candidate should have expertise
in applications, website development and management, client and
server-side programming, database technologies, systems analysis
and design, and hardware and software management. Candidate will be
responsible to teach courses in Microsoft applications to
non-majors as well as courses in the fields specified above to
Information Technology majors.
Position 2 - Networking: Candidate should have a broad and deep
knowledge of networking theory and LAN and WAN technologies.
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, the OSI Model, and network
devices is required. Knowledge of the Linux Operating System and
the installation and configuration of network functions and Servers
under Linux is required. Knowledge of Network programming is a plus
as is Network+ certification.
Necessary skills and experience: Ph.D. in Information
Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
Candidates should have excellent classroom management skills and
the ability to engage both novice and advanced students at the
undergraduate level, published research in the field, and
experience in curricular development. Fluency in written and spoken
English required.

REGISTRAR
Mount Saint Mary College invites applicants for the position of
Registrar, reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment
Management and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. The
Registrar is responsible for student registration, the maintenance
of student records, degree certification, and FERPA compliance. The
Registrar prepares class schedules, the academic calendar,and
related catalogs and bulletins. This officer works closely with
administration and faculty to estimate instructional needs, prepare
statistical reports, compile class averages and ranks, and issue
grade reports regularly. The Registrar must also hire, train,
evaluate, and supervise the staff of the Registrar’s office, and
maintain a cohesive team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or
university preferred, plus a minimum of three years of managerial
experience as Registrar, Associate Registrar, or closely-related
enrollment management professional at a higher education
institution;
- Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems;
- Proven leadership abilities, including strong verbal and
written communications skills, and experience supervising and
evaluating staff;
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty and academic
leaders;
- Experience with Jenzabar is preferred;

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH
Mount Saint Mary College seeks an Assistant Professor of English
(full-time, tenure-track). The PhD in English / Composition and
Rhetoric or related fields is required, as is college teaching
experience. Degree candidates finishing the degree by June 30, 2012
will be considered. We are seeking a generalist with an emphasis in
early Modern Literature, strength in composition and rhetoric, and
knowledge of literary theory.
The candidate should have the ability to teach courses such as
Freshmen Composition, Development of the English Language, Modern
American Grammar, Major English Authors I - from the Beowulf poet,
through the Elizabethans to the Restoration and 18th Century,
etc.
The teaching load is 4/4. Teaching, scholarship, community, and
college service are an integral part of the tenure process.

CLINICAL COORDINATOR FOR THE DIVISION OF NURSING
This is a full-time administrative position. We seek a NY State
RN with a baccalaureate degree, master's degree preferred, who is
familiar with health care agencies within the mid-Hudson region.
Five or more years of clinical experience as a nurse is
required.
This position will provide coordination and communication
between the clinical agencies in the community for both the
graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. An organized process
for student clinical assignments will be developed to arrange
appropriate placement of students in the practice setting. This
will include tracking requirements for each of the clinical
agencies, maintaining contracts, and recruitment of clinical
instructors. Organization and communication skills are required to
develop and maintain relationships between faculty, clinics,
physician offices, acute care, long term care, and other health
care agencies that provide learning opportunities for the
undergraduate and graduate students.
