Bio

Sonya Abbye Taylor began her career as a teacher; she taught students of all ages with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.

She was a consultant for corporations, developing educational programs to enable employees to advance their careers and for school districts seeking to improve special education programs.

She was a faculty member and chairperson of the Education Department at the College of New Rochelle and was Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in two distinctly different school districts.

Her current research includes identifying components of successful co-teaching.
