The Mount Saint Mary College and Bishop Dunn Memorial School communities gathered on Sunday, April 19 to celebrate the holy sacraments of initiation.

The ceremony, which included Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, was presided over by Fr. Gregoire Fluet, Vice President for Mission and Ministry and Campus Chaplain.

Among those newly baptized were Mount students Zoe O’Brien of Mahopac, N.Y. and Maegan Orona of New York City, as well as Mila Zangl, an alumna of the Mount’s Class of 2022. They were joined by Patrick Wayne Davis, a student at Bishop Dunn Memorial School, who also received the sacrament of Baptism.

The community welcomed Jessica Joy Guelberg, a Bishop Dunn Memorial School parent, who was formally received into the Catholic Church during the service.

O’Brien, Orona, Zangl, and Guelberg also received the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation by special permission.

Located 60 miles north of New York City, Mount Saint Mary College is a four-year liberal arts college guided by the Dominican traditions of service and community. Bishop Dunn Memorial School, located on the Mount campus, serves students from Pre-K to eighth grade.
