With Commencement only a few days away, graduating Mount Saint Mary College students were recognized for their dedication to academics, leadership, and the community during the annual Senior Class Awards ceremony. 

Dozens of deserving senior students received awards for their contributions to the college and the surrounding region.

Sabrina Scire of Staten Island, N.Y., earned the Award for Outstanding Service to the Class of 2026. This award is given to seniors who have devoted much time and energy to serving their classmates, the college community, and the community at large throughout their four years at the college.

Samantha O’Connell of Islip, N.Y., was the recipient of the Thomas J. Conlon Memorial Award, which is given to a senior student who has shown outstanding leadership in Student Government.

Kate Egan of Levittown, N.Y., and Stephanie Ingenito of Palisades, N.Y., were the recipients of the Father Michael J. Gilleece Memorial Award. This honor is given to seniors who have an acceptable academic average, are persons of high moral character who exemplify Judeo-Christian values in their everyday lives, and have worked unselfishly in whatever capacity for the development of the human potential of Mount Saint Mary College students.

Nicole Kreischer of Washingtonville, N.Y., earned the Mount Saint Mary College Award, which is given to a senior who has maintained an acceptable standard of academic performance, has manifested a spirit of cooperation, leadership and loyal service, and is representative of a Mount Saint Mary College student.

Senior Class Awards for Service and Involvement in Their Communities were awarded to:

  • Daniel Mack of Ramsey, N.J.
  • Dayna Paulino of Newburgh, N.Y.
  • Shirley Quezada Mendia of Westbury, N.Y.
  • Vincent Sullivan of Lynbrook, N.Y.
