Dozens of Mount Saint Mary College students attended the recent Nursing career fair.

Mount Saint Mary College’s Career Center and dozens of local companies gave students and alumni a variety of job opportunities at a Nursing career fair on April 17, and a virtual career fair for all majors on April 23.

Sponsored by Westchester medical Center and Americare, the Nursing career fair attracted a total of 20 employers. They offered a variety of part-time jobs, internships, and full-time opportunities. The event also gave students and alumni the opportunity to learn more about job titles, requirements, the application process, and networking.

The following employers were in attendance: White Glove Community Care Inc.; Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions; Greystone Programs, Inc.; The Arc Mid-Hudson; Anderson Center for Autism; New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision; Geisinger; Resource Recovery Center of Orange County; Albany Medical Center; Garnet Health Medical Center; The Fresh Air Fund; Westchester Medical Center; Yale New Haven Health; Nuvance Health; Orange County Department of Health; VNS Health; Optum; and Americare.

The virtual career fair a few days later featured a wide variety of employers looking to recruit new talent, including Employers Access: Supports For Living; Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie; the Internal Revenue Service; KidsPeace; Kumon Math & Reading Center of Beacon; MedStar Health; New Horizons Resources; Northwestern Mutual of Albany, N.Y.; the Office of the New York State Comptroller; PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP; RBT CPAs, LLP; Summit Camp & Travel; The Arc Rockland; The Community at Brookmeade; The Fresh Air Fund; United States Secret Service; United States Tennis Association; and West Point Child and Youth Services.

The Career Center is often credited by Mount graduates for providing powerful, proven, and practical tools to help shape their post-graduate portfolio. More than just a student program, the Career Center provides students and alumni with lifelong tools for success and advancement.
