Mount Saint Mary College’s School of Business announces the launch of a new Sports Management concentration within its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

The optional academic pathway is designed to equip business leaders with the specialized skills required to navigate and lead in the rapidly growing sports and athletics industries.

The enhanced online MBA program is fully accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). It provides working professionals with a flexible, career-focused curriculum that can be completed in as little as 12 months.

Alongside foundational leadership, finance, and strategic business courses, students choosing the Sports Management concentration will take specialized coursework focused on the operational, economic, and public relations management of sports facilities, organizations, and events.

The Mount’s geographic positioning – just 60 miles outside of New York City – and established network offer unique advantages for graduate students looking to build careers in the field. The college maintains strong relationships with numerous regional sports organizations and institutions, providing an ideal ecosystem for students to gain real-world insights, build professional connections, and work directly within local athletics administration.

Built to accommodate the schedules of full-time working professionals, the Mount’s MBA courses are delivered online in an asynchronous format through 8-week accelerated sessions, with six start dates available per academic year. To balance this flexibility with valuable face-to-face networking and collaboration, the program features a single, immersive, one-day in-person residency requirement per year.

Students interested in pursuing this path apply through the traditional MBA program and can officially declare the Sports Management concentration once they are enrolled.

Mount Saint Mary College is a private, co-educational institution located in Newburgh, N.Y. accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college offers affordable, high-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students for meaningful careers, lifelong learning, and service to their communities.
