Mount Saint Mary College announces that applications are open for its Adult Degree Program, designed specifically for non-traditional and returning students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees.
This flexible program offers working adults the opportunity to pursue higher education while balancing full-time employment, family responsibilities, and other commitments.
The Mount’s Adult Degree Program provides a supportive and welcoming environment with small class sizes, and online, hybrid, and evening class options, all at a discounted tuition rate. While following the same rigorous course structure as traditional programs, the Adult Degree Program allows students to progress at their own pace.
Students can transfer up to 90 credits from 4-year institutions and up to 66 credits from 2-year institutions.
Currently, the program is accepting applications for Fall 2025 from students interested in transferring or returning to the Mount to complete a bachelor’s degree. Starting Spring 2026, the program will expand to welcome all first-time adult degree seekers over the age of 18.
There is no application fee, and the Mount operates on a rolling admissions basis, allowing applicants to apply at any time.
Students can choose from seven in-demand majors, including Accounting, Business Management and Administration, Human Services, Interdisciplinary Studies, Nursing (the Non-Traditional/Accelerated Transfer Program is only offered in-person), Psychology, and Social Sciences.
Prospective students interested in the Adult Degree Program can initiate their application process using the Mount’s Transfer/Degree Completion application. The application requires an official high school transcript if the applicant has fewer than 24 college credits, along with official transcripts from colleges previously attended. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is generally required, with Nursing programs requiring a 2.75 GPA.
For first-time degree seekers interested in starting this Fall, it is recommended to email Admissions at admissions@msmc.edu for specific guidance.
