Mount Saint Mary College’s School of Business honored graduating MBA students with a ceremony for family and friends on Thursday, May 12. 

The celebration featured Mount MBA graduates from December ‘21 and May ’22. The master of ceremonies was Michael L. Fox, Business Graduate Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Business Law.

After an invocation by Sr. Margaret “Peggy” Murphy, OP, D. Min, former professor of Religious Studies at the college, Mount president Dr. Jason N. Adsit and Vice President of Academic Affairs George Abaunza congratulated the graduates on their hard work and academic dedication.

Tiffany Gagliano, dean of the School of Business, recognized several students for excellence in their studies and skills: 

  • The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the NYSSCPA MBA Accounting Award: Kelsey Farrell of Cochecton, N.Y.
  • The Business Faculty Award for Academic Excellence (MBA): Charles Broe of New Windsor, N.Y. and David Fishler of Kiamesha Lake, N.Y.
  • The Excellence in Business Award (MBA): Charles Broe of New Windsor, N.Y.
  • Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society Award for Academic Excellence (MBA): Charles Broe of New Windsor, N.Y. and Margaret Seely of Berwick, Pa.
  • Excellence in Analysis and Presentation of Case Study Strategies, MGT 6600 Business Capstone Course: Lukas Arakas of Walden, N.Y; Ryan Bayer of New Windsor, N.Y.; Charles Broe of New Windsor, N.Y.; and Katrina Brown of Goshen, N.Y. (Alphabet); Justin Coyle of New Windsor, N.Y.; Kelsey Farrell of Cochecton, N.Y.; Miranda Fennessy of Monroe, N.Y.; and David Fishler of Kiamesha Lake, N.Y. (Publix)  

Akm Rezaul Hossain, chair of the School of Business and professor of Economics, closed out the ceremony with words of wisdom for the new graduates. 

Mount Saint Mary College will celebrate its 59th annual Commencement on Saturday, May 21, graduating more than 500 seniors.
