Dr. Robert Gervasi, President of Mount Saint Mary College (left), and Fr. Gregoire Fluet, Vice President for Mission and Ministry and Campus Chaplain, served up great food and appreciative smiles on Monday, November 17.
Mount Saint Mary College faculty and staff showed students how thankful the college is for their scholarship and service to the community with some service of their own on Monday, November 17, by dishing out a delicious Thanksgiving meal at The View dining hall.
Guest servers included Dr. Robert Gervasi, President of the Mount; Fr. Gregoire Fluet, Vice President for Mission and Ministry; Lynette DeBellis, associate professor of Nursing and chair of the School of Nursing; Christopher Neyen, associate professor of Art and Graphic Design and Director of the Communication, Art, and Digital Media (CADM) program; and more.
The Thanksgiving spirit didn’t stop there. Several groups on campus hosted food drives for the local community, including the Desmond Center for Community Engagement and Wellness and the Mount’s Sigma Tau Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), the International Honor Society in Education.
The KDP drive yielded a total of 63 pounds of food and personal care items. The Desmond Center drive is still ongoing, as of the writing of this article.
