Noelle Collazo ’09, an Enrolled Agent with KPMG, discusses the benefits of mentorship with current Mount Saint Mary College students.

Noelle Collazo, a 2009 alumna and an Enrolled Agent with KPMG, recently showed Mount Saint Mary College students how mentors can help launch careers.

The KPMG University Mentoring Program provides college students with a KPMG mentor who will share their experiences with their mentee, helping to foster success.

If a student is chosen for the prestigious program, their mentor will help expand the student’s network through introductions to their colleagues, will provide career advice and development, and more.

Mentors can act as a sounding board to students trying to make decisions, noted Collazo. They can also help students engage in consequential thinking, help to motivate them, provide information, guidance, and encouragement, and help to develop new academic goals.

One of the “big four” accounting firms, KPMG provides audit, tax and advisory services to many of the world's leading organizations. Worldwide, they staff 219,000 employees in more than 650 offices.
