A line of freshly picked mini pumpkins awaits decorators in the autumn afternoon sun as students look on during Mount Saint Mary College's “Paint the Pumpkin Pink” awareness event.
Under bright autumn skies, Mount Saint Mary College students gathered on the lawn to put a meaningful twist on a classic fall pastime for the annual “Paint the Pumpkin Pink” event.
Co-hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Office of Residence Life, the event invited the campus community to decorate mini pumpkins in shades of pink, white, and purple to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Equipped with paintbrushes and miniature gourds, attendees took a break from their midterm studies to sit together, paint, and spark conversations about cancer education, early detection, and honoring survivors and loved ones impacted by the disease.
