With the Spring 2026 semester winding down, Mount Saint Mary College students found a moment of “paws-itive” relief on Tuesday, May 5, thanks to a team of four-legged friends.
Hosted by the Mount’s Kaplan Family Library, Counseling Services, Disability Services, Health Services, and Student Government Association, the event transformed the Aquinas Hall Atrium into a sanctuary of stress relief.
Local therapy dogs visited with students, providing a much-needed break from the mid-semester exams and project deadlines.
Studies show that even a brief interaction with a therapy animal can lower cortisol levels, reduce anxiety, and foster a sense of community.
