Bio
Lissette McNulty has been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years and has experience in the areas of long-term care, home health care, and public health. While working in long-term care, she developed the clinical skills needed to care for older adults with chronic conditions. As a home health care nurse, she delivered care to medically fragile infants, provided chronic disease management, and skilled nursing services to homebound patients. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in public health. During one of the most challenging periods in public health, she led the COVID-19 response at a nearby county, and through their efforts over 82,000 vaccines were safely administered at various community settings.
She discovered her interest in teaching while serving as a preceptor in home health care. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing Education in 2019. She also holds Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC). In 2024, she began her academic teaching career as an Instructor of Nursing at Mount Saint Mary College. She has experience teaching in the traditional and non-traditional undergraduate nursing program. She teaches Adult Health I & II, Nursing Research for Evidence-Based Practice (online), and serves as a clinical instructor for Community Health Nursing. She believes in the importance of integrating various teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
