At a community reception on February 26 – Ash Wednesday – Tiffany Gagliano ’02, Esq., Mount Saint Mary College’s inaugural Dean of the School of Business, discussed her plans to help the college thrive. Gagliano was appointed to the role in January 2020.

Local business leaders and other friends of Mount Saint Mary College welcomed Tiffany N. Gagliano ’02, Esq. as the inaugural Dean of the School of Business at a community reception on February 26 (Ash Wednesday).

Gagliano began as Dean in mid-January of this year. In her role, she has been expanding the Mount’s external relations and partnerships, supporting recruitment, and working with campus stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for the School of Business.

“What we have here is someone who understands the lived experience of the Mount,” said Jason N. Adsit, president of the college. “But more importantly, she is someone who has unbelievably keen intellect, and knows the lay of the land of this area – the business landscape, the social landscape, and the interpersonal landscape.”

Gagliano is a Mount alumna and the parent of a current Mount Education student. After graduating from the Mount, Gagliano earned a Juris Doctor degree at Pace University. She has served in numerous roles with the City of Newburgh and Orange County, including Assistant Corporation Counsel for Newburgh, where she was able to make deep connections with the regional business community. In addition, she has spent a considerable amount of time in the area of compliance.

“I’m overwhelmed with joy to be here at the Mount,” said Gagliano. “Mount Saint Mary College really is near and dear to my heart…Our School of Business has amazing faculty, we have great programs, we have so much more that we can and will do – and that’s what brought me here. It’s the shared vision of greatness.”

The Mount’s culture of service goes hand in hand with Gagliano’s commitment to community. She has enjoyed serving as a volunteer basketball coach for most of her adult life, including seasons with Bishop Dunn Memorial School and the Newburgh Armory Unity Center. She is also a board member of Girls on the Run – Hudson Valley, a program that helps young women to develop essential life skills, with an appreciation for health and fitness.

The Mount Saint Mary College School of Business provides students with the skillsets and knowledge needed to succeed as business professionals. Mount Business graduates go on to work in a wide variety of fields including finance, human resources, management, marketing, and more.
