For high school students looking to forge their own college major in the humanities, Mount Saint Mary College will be hosting a virtual academic information session on Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m.
To register for this free information session, visit www.msmc.edu/humanities
Beginning in the Fall 2021 semester, students will be able to get a $6,500 tuition per year humanities-based education at the Mount.
Humanities@Work is a new Interdisciplinary bachelor's program that fuses coursework with hands-on service and internship experience. It will offer a four-year tuition lock, and a four-year graduation guarantee.
The program will give students a high degree of flexibility and customization of their degree, handing them the keys to their own academic destiny. Students will explore a variety of subjects, select areas of emphasis, and more as they navigate their education.
Mount humanities graduates go on to do amazing work in their fields, and employers – including the world's top CEOs – seek these vital skills honed by humanities-educated candidates:
- Critical and creative thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Problem-solving
- The ability to work well in a team
- Emotional intelligence
Although these skills are emphasized across the Mount curriculum no matter your major, they are hard-wired into English, History, Philosophy, and other such disciplines – all of which are combined in Humanities@Work.
