With the Spring 2026 semester ramping up, Mount Saint Mary College students found a moment of “paws-itive” relief on Tuesday, February 10, thanks to a team of four-legged friends.
Hosted by the Mount’s MAP, SAAC, and Care and Wellness Coach, Meghan Hartman, the event transformed the Kaplan Recreation Center into a sanctuary of stress relief.
Local therapy dogs visited with students, providing a much-needed break from the mid-semester exams and project deadlines.
Studies show that even a brief interaction with a therapy animal can lower cortisol levels, reduce anxiety, and foster a sense of community.
