Presented by the Mount’s Communication, Media, and Art (CMA) program, the event will take place at 4 p.m. in Aquinas Room 216 on the Mount campus. The talk is free and open to the public.
Kern, whose distinguished career includes production roles on hit series such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, will share her insights into the evolution of modern television, the intricacies of showrunning, and the realities of the entertainment industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of the production process for some of the most influential programs in recent television history.
Kern is a New York-based creative producer with more than a decade of experience in video production. From conceptualizing and directing to managing budgets and overseeing post-production, she excels at transforming ideas into compelling content. She ensures every project, whether working with seasoned actors or first-time talent, is a smooth and fulfilling experience.
Alongside her husband, she co-owns FilmxForever, a small business that captures weddings on nostalgic Super 8 film. Kern resides in the Hudson Valley with her husband, son, and two cats.
