Mack the Knight SMS Texting service is available to MSMC undergraduate students via text 24/7 and will reach out and share resources to help you succeed at Mount Saint Mary College!

What is Mack the Knight SMS Texting Service?

Mack the Knight is the Mount's official SMS texting tool that supports students, answers their questions, and communicates important information throughout the school year. 

It is also an excellent way for the Mount to hear directly from students and make sure their voices are part of the conversation!

Who is it for?

The Mack the Knight SMS service is only for undergraduate students at Mount Saint Mary College

How often will I get texts from Mack?

Mack will send texts to check in with students in during the semester using their number on file. 

What kind of questions can I ask?

You can ask Mack any Mount/campus related questions. For example:

• When are exams?
• How do I get help connecting to wifi?
• What is there to do on weekends?
• What's on the menu today?
• Where can I print on campus?
• You can also request support from Mack, such as “I would like to speak to an academic coach about my class”.  Texts sent to Mack are reviewed by specialized staff to assist with student requests.

How do I opt in if I didn't get a text from Mack?

If you did not receive a text, please take a moment to confirm or update your cell phone number with this form.

How do I opt out?

Just reply "STOP" to the text message and your number will be opted out.

How is my number being used?

Aside from the new texting platform, your phone number will not be shared or utilized for any other purpose.
