The free event will take place via Zoom. You can register at www.msmc.edu/OpenHouse.

The event promises to be more than just a boring Zoom experience. We are planning for this fun and interactive session to come to you live from the Mount Saint Mary College campus. It will feature the Mount's friendly admissions counselors, as well as helpful faculty and staff.

Throughout the event, you will:

  • Connect with current students.

  • Learn more about your chosen academic program from Mount professors. (Undeclared? There will be a session for you too.)
  • Understand how to get involved in all aspects of the Mount community and how to create your best college experience.
  • Explore how combining service and learning can spark growth in yourself and change throughout the world.
  • Be given a live virtual tour of campus, narrated by one of our incredible admissions counselors.
  • Have an opportunity to meet with your admissions counselor to ask questions and apply on the spot for free.

In addition, the college is offering several exciting new programs for incoming first-year students:

Humanities@Work: Beginning in the Fall 2021 semester, the Mount will offer Humanities@Work, a new Interdisciplinary bachelor's program that fuses coursework with hands-on service and internship experience. From English to History to Philosophy and everything in between, this robust program mixes a variety of courses across disciplinary areas, co-curricular seminars, research projects, and internships for a dynamic student experience with real results. Tuition is only $6,500 a year and seats are limited.

Cybersecurity: Offered as both an IT concentration and major, the Mount's Cybersecurity program provides theoretical and hands-on skills to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in software, operating systems, networks, and more. A major or concentration in Cybersecurity at the Mount can lead to careers in technology, security software, defense, government, teaching, e-commerce, banking, finance, business, and more.

Human Computer Interaction: This new concentration within the Mount's Information Technology major allows students to study the effects of technology on human life from a holistic perspective. Combining courses in Information Technology, Psychology, and Mathematics provides the opportunity view technology from an analytical stance and offer solutions for it to better benefit the people who use it. Students in this concentration are prepared to enter careers in technology consulting, user experience, front-end design and development, and more.

Exercise Science: The Exercise Science major will immerse students in the workings of the body, its needs under physical and emotional stress, and how these factors affect life. Coursework will include training in exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention. Graduates of the program will be primed for careers in health and wellness, such as nutrition, public health, health education, and fitness. They will also be ready to begin graduate studies in athletic training, physical or occupational therapy, and even MD or OD degree programs.

Pharmacy / Biology and Osteopathic Medicine / Biology: The Mount has teamed up with the Touro Colleges of Pharmacy and Osteopathic medicine to provide two pathway programs in the fields of Pharmacy and Osteopathic Medicine. Through these programs, students have the opportunity to get their bachelor's degrees in Biology at Mount Saint Mary College and doctoral degrees through Touro College in just seven years instead of eight. These time and money-saving programs prepare students for careers as pharmacists, osteopathic doctors, and more.
