Student teacher Elizabeth Cambronero photographed with a student making a terrarium.

Bishop Dunn Memorial School students did their part to keep our planet clean and green on Earth Day, April 22.

Under the guidance of student teacher Elizabeth Cambronero of Wantagh, N.Y., a Mount Saint Mary College senior, second grade students made their own terrariums. A terrarium is a small, portable container filled with soil and plants.

Bishop Dunn is a Pre-K to eighth grade school in the Catholic tradition, located on the campus of Mount Saint Mary College. The school is committed to the academic, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development of children, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Mount Education students do fieldwork at the school, under the guidance of seasoned Bishop Dunn faculty. Many Mount grads go on to work at Bishop Dunn Memorial School, including Principal Nancy Benfer '04.
